14 Sep/ Day 01: Kolkata – Guwahati – Shillong (100 kms / 03 hrs.) Morning flight from Kolkata at 09:20 Am.Reach Guwahati at 10:35 Am. On arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station & transfer to Shillong (4,900 ft.), called ‘Scotland of the East”. Enroute visit Umium Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. 15 Sep/ Day 02: Excursion to Mawlynnong & Dawki (120 kms / 4 hrs.) After early breakfast drive to Mawlynnong – “Asia’s Cleanest Village”. Mawlynnong offers many interesting sights such as the living root bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another small rock. Later proceed to Dawki, a small town near India Bangladesh border. Enjoy breathtaking view of the Umangot River. Evening drive back to Shillong. Stay overnight at your hotel in Shillong. |

16 Sep/ Day 03: Shillong – Cherrapunjee (60 kms / 4 hrs.) After breakfast visit Don Bosco Museum, Ward’s Lake, Botanical Garden and Lady Hydari Park. afternoon drive to Cherrapunjee (4,400 ft.), the wettest place in the world. On the way enjoy Mawkdok Valley, Nohkalikai falls, Dainthelen Falls and Ramkrishna Mission (drive pass). On arrival at Cherrapunjee, check in at your hotel. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee. |

17 Sep/ Day 04: Cherrapunjee Local Sightseeing After breakfast we get ready for a half day trek to visit the Double Decker Living Root Bridge deep inside the jungle. It will take 3 to 4 hrs (depending on the physical fitness of the person). Afternoon visit Nohsngithiang Falls (also known as the Seven Sisters Waterfalls or Mawsmai Falls), Mawsmai Cave, Koh Ram Hah and Ecopark. Evening back to the hotel. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee |

18 Sep/ Day 05: Cherrapunjee – Guwahati (160 kms / 6 hrs.) After breakfast drive to Guwahati, enroute visit Elephanta falls and Shillong peak for some breathtaking views. Arrive and check in at hotel. In the evening visit ‘Kalakshetra’, a place where Assamese history and culture is presented through Light and sound show. Return to hotel. Overnight stay at Guwahati. |

20 Sep/ Day 07: Guwahati – Kolkata – Shantiniketan After breakfast check out from hotel & transfer to Guwahati Airport/ Railway station. Flight/ Train from Guwahati at 11:05 Am. Reach Kolkata at 12:20 Pm. On arrival transfer to Shantiniketan. This place was founded in 1901 by Noble Laureate Shri. Rabindra Nath Tagore who visualized a perfect harmony of humanity with nature. 21 Sep/ Day 08: Shantiniketan Sightseeing After breakfast visit, Visva – Bharati University Campus, the complex at “Uttarayan” (Udayan, Shyamali, Konarak, Udichi & Punaschha houses of Tagore), Art Gallery, Museum & Amar Kutir (Handicraft Center) near Kopai River. Afternoon visit Khoai Hat near Sonajhuri forest to experience the tribes and their life, art, song and dance. Evening free at leisure. Overnight stay at Shantiniketan.
