11th Sep. Mumbai – Hanoi Xin chao! Welcome to Hanoi, Vietnam. Hanoi, one of Asia’s most enchanting cities, full of culture, history and the engaging contradictions of a rapidly developing and deeply traditional society. You are greeted by your guide and driver at Noi Bai International airport for your transfer to hotel in Hanoi. Check in at Hotel. Lunch at India restaurant. Later Proceed to city Tour in which head out to Ba Dinh Square and start our day with The Presidential Palace (formerly Palace of the Governor-General of French Indochina), Ho Chi Minh’s house-on-stilt. The nearby One Pillar Pagoda – one of the oldest architectures dated back from the 11th century. It rises on a one pillar from the middle of a square lotus pond. Legend has it that Ly Thai Tong had a dream vision of Quan Am sitting on a lotus flower and promising him a male child. Thus, he had this pagoda built, itself sitting on a pond like a giant flower on its tall stem. 12th Sep. Hanoi – Halong Bay – Hanoi Morning after Breakfast at hotel and by Road head out to Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Board the junk to visit Halong Bay. Enjoy a sumptuous lunch on board. The 4 hours fantastic cruise will marvel you with thousands of picturesque rocky islets of all shapes and sizes. Explore Thien Cung grotto, round over Tuan Chau island, Dinh Huong island, Ga Choi island, Dog island and Sail island. You will return to the wharf in the afternoon and transfer to Hanoi by Road. 13th Sep. Hanoi – Flight to Ho Chi Minh After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport to take the flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival greeted at the airport and transferred to hotel in Ho Chi Minh. After Lunch in City Tour visit the War Remnants Museum – originally opened in September 1975; it displays old military equipment and other related items from Vietnam War. The nearby Notre Dame Cathedral, built between 1877 and 1883, most materials for Saigon’s Notre Dame Cathedral were imported from France. Neo-Romanesque in form, it is a major centre of Catholicism in modern Vietnam, and one of the city’s major landmarks. Next to the cathedral stands the Saigon Post Office, a classic French colonial structure, is still a functioning post office today and features huge ceilings, a giant portrait of Uncle Ho, and many beautiful details. Final visit of the day is to Ben Thanh Market –a symbol of the city, stands in the center of District 1. packed to the rafters with everything from fruits to nuts, from tourist kitsch to true bargains, it is a definite must-see. 14th Sep. Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi – Ho Chi Minh After breakfast, depart at 8.30AM from your hotel. Drive 70kms from Ho Chi Minh City, stopping en route to visit a rice paper making village, and you will reach Cu Chi Tunnels. After an introductory video, viewing various mantraps, the remains of an American tank and numerous bomb craters, you will spend the next hour exploring the maze of tunnels to see how the Viet Cong survived in this underground network. Lunch at local restaurant (On Own) Transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City. Rest Day fre for Shopping at your own. Come Back to Hotel. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh. (B/D) |
