| 1st Day (Fri 25th September) : Cochin to Munnar – Arrival & Transfer Arrival at Cochin airport/ railway station, meet and assistance.Transfer to Munnar . Munnar is 1800 mts above sea level and also the place of South India’s highest peak (Anamudi – 2695 mts). On the way visit Valara, Cheeyappara waterfalls. Overnight at the hotel.
Tip: Don’t pack too much sightseeing into the arrival day. The Cochin–Munnar journey is scenic but winding, so keeping the evening relaxed is better. |

| 2nd Day (Sat 26th September) : Munnar – Full Day Sightseeing Morning after breakfast full day visit to Munnar. Mattupetty dam, Echo Point, Kundala Dam, Pothamedu View Point, Blossom Park etc are some of the highlights of the sightseeing. Shopping & overnight at the hotel in Munnar. I recommend starting early because you have several attractions.
Optional: If you’re interested in tea, I would replace some of the less-important sightseeing with a tea museum/tea plantation experience. |

| 3rd Day (Sun 27th September) : Munnar to Thekkady – Transfer & sightseeing
After breakfast checkout from the hotel and drive to Thekkady , on arrival check in to the hotel. Proceed for local Sightseeing (if time permits) else day at leisure or own activities and overnight stay at Thekkady. One of the world’s most fascinating wildlife reserves. The Periyar wildlife sanctuary in Thekkady is spread across 777 sq km of which 360 sq km is thick evergreen forest. | 4th Day (Mon 28th September) : Thekkady to Kumarakom – Transfer & Sightseeing After breakfast checkout from the hotel and drive to Kumarakom, on arrival check in to the hotel. Proceed for local Sightseeing (if time permits) else day at leisure or own activities and overnight stay at Kumarakom. A vibrant backwater hamlet, Kumarakom is a tiny hamlet perched on the western banks of the Vembanad Lake – a stretch of backwater spread over 900 sq. kms. The hamlet clings to tradition and the local population prefers to live adhering to their old ways. Yet every modern amenity is available with a dash of tradition and culture interwoven into the fabric of everyday life and it’s truly fascinating to observe as you glide past them in your canoe, motorboat or houseboat, a perfect example of give and take with mother nature. | 5th Day (Tue 29th September) : Kumarakom to Kovalam – Transfer & Sightseeing After breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Kovalam on arrival check in to the hotel. on arrival check in to the hotel. Proceed for local Sightseeing and overnight stay at Kovalam. Kovalam is an internationally renowned beach with three adjacent crescent beaches. It has been a favourite haunt of tourists, especially Europeans, since the 1930s. A massive rocky promontory on the beach has created a beautiful bay of calm waters ideal for sea bathing. The leisure options at this beach are plenty and diverse-sunbathing, swimming, herbal body toning massages, special cultural programmes, Catamaran cruising etc. Overnight stay at Kovalam. This is another relatively long transfer day, so don’t schedule too much.

| 6th Day (Wed 30th September) : Kovalam – Trivandrum Sightseeing Start your day with a sightseeing tour of Trivandrum, (Thiruvananthapuram) literally means ‘the abode of Anantha’, the snake God. The main attraction of the city is the Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple dedicated to Vishnu (also known as Padmanabha) reclining on the snake Anantha. The imposing gopuram (gateway tower) and intricate sculptures of the temple make it a very popular tourist attraction. Later visit Napier Museum, an art and natural history museum which houses a collection of archaeological and historic artifacts, bronze idols, ancient ornaments, a temple chariot and ivory carvings. Sri Chitra Art Gallery (Closed on Mondays & Wednesday forenoons) displays the original paintings of Raja Ravi Varma which houses a collection of paintings from the Rajput, Mughal and Tanjore schools. The collection also includes unique copies of Indian mural paintings from prehistoric times down to the 18th century. Overnight stay at Kovalam. Temple note For Padmanabhaswamy Temple, keep extra time for security, dress requirements and queues. Photography restrictions also apply inside the temple premises. I would not schedule anything tightly immediately after the temple. Best way to spend the evening Since you’re already returning to Kovalam, don’t add another major attraction. | 7th Day (Thu 01 October) : Kovalam to Kanyakumari – Transfer & sightseeing After breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Kanyakumari on arrival check in to the hotel. Proceed for local Sightseeing (if time permits) else day at leisure or own activities and overnight stay at Kanyakumari. Captivating Kanyakumari the southernmost end of Tamilnadu and the lands end of India is one of the most popular tourist spots of the country. The beautiful town on the very tip of the Indian Peninsula is set on the confluence of the Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean. The town is at its best during Chaitra Poornima (full moon day in April), when the Sun and Moon are face to face at the same horizon. Other full moon days are also special when you can see the sunset and the moon rise almost simultaneously. Sightseeing in Kanyakumari: Vivekananda Rock, Kanyakumari Devi Temple. Since ferry operations and queues can vary, don’t make your entire afternoon dependent on a particular sailing time. I’d aim to reach the ferry area around 3:00 PM. | 8th Day (Fri 02 October) :Kanyakumari to Rameshwaram – Departure After breakfast , depart for Rameshwaram 330 kms/ 7 hrs. on arrival check in at hotel. Evening at your leisure. Overnight stay at Rameshwaram. Kanyakumari → RameshwaramThis is primarily a long driving day. Your itinerary says approximately 330 km / 7 hours. With breaks and traffic, I’d allow 8–9 hours door-to-door rather than planning exactly seven hours.

| 9th Day (Sat 03 October ): In Rameshwaram After breakfast , Proceed for local Sightseeing and overnight stay at Rameswaram.Rameswaram is in the Ramanathapuram district in Tamil Nadu. It is located on Pamban Island separated from mainland India by the Pamban channel and is about 50 kilometres from Mannar Island, Sri Lanka. It is situated in the Gulf of Mannar, at the very tip of the Indian peninsula. Pamban Island, also known as Rameswaram Island, is connected to mainland India by the Pamban Bridge. Rameswaram is the terminus of the railway line from Chennai and Madurai.Rameswaram Sightseeing includes Ramanathaswamy Temple, Five Faced Hanuman Temple & Pamban Bridge.
