09 June: Srinagar – Sonmarg
Arrival at Srinagar Airport, Drive towards Sonmarg , Sonamarg is one of the four most visited destinations of Kashmir, the other three being Srinagar, Gulmarg, and Pahalgam. The place is easily accessible, remains open for most of the year, has plenty of hotels, offers amazing views, and is perfect for all kinds of trips. 10 June : SONMARG- ALCHIAfter early breakfast departs from Sonmarg Drive over Zojila pass visit Drass war memorial museum. Drive to Leh over Namiki-la (12, 200 ft.), Mulbekh where there is a Chamba statue carved out of a single rock about 144 ft. high , over Fatu-la (13, 489 ft.) which is the highest pass on Srinagar – Leh road and visit Lamayuru monastery which is the unique and oldest monastery in Ladakh. After viewing fascinating view of garnite colour soil rocks drive down through kangaroo curves to Uleyokpo, Visit lamayuru monastery and final road towards Alchi. 11 June: ALCHI- LEH After breakfast visit Alchi Monastery. On the way sight seeing Sham Valley, enroute visit Sangam and Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Pathar sahib Temple , Hall of Fame and Zorawar Fort, Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace.. 12 June: LEH TO NUBRA VALLEYAfter an early breakfast we drive to NUBRA VALLEY leads through KHARDUNG-LA-PASS (the highest motorable road in the world) at 18,390 ft, around 39 kms from Leh. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldorma or the valley of flowers. It is situated to the North of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. Arrive Sumur or Hunder by afternoon and rest of the day at leisure to explore beautiful village of Sumur & Hunder with a Visit to Diskit Monastery. 13 June – NUBRA-TURTUK-NUBRATurtuk is the last village on the Indian side and was earlier on the other side of the border. 14 June – NUBRA- PANGONGAfter your breakfast drive to pangong Lake Via shayouk River. Pangong Lake, situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m). A long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometers at its widest point and over 130km long, it is bisected by the international border between India and China. A few years back the government decided to open it to tourists though the lake and its surrounding is under army surveillance. Enjoy the landscape in the back drop of the Lake. One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable. Evening at leisure and overnight stay at the Camp on the shore of the Lake… | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Sonamarg – 84 Kms is also called as “The meadow of gold” has, as its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. The Sindh River that meanders through the valley abounds with trout and mahaseer. Drive over Zojila pass visit Drass war memorial museum. Over Stay in Kargil. |
