1st Day (Tue 17th February) : Trivandrum – Arrival and Sightseeing
“Pick up from Trivandrum Airport and drive to Thiruvananthapuram, on arrival check in to the hotel. Proceed for local Sightseeing (if time permits) else day at leisure or own activities and overnight stay at Thiruvananthapuram.Trivandrum is the capital of Kerala. Trivandrum or Thiruvananthapuram is an ancient city with a history dating back as early as 1000 BC. Thiruvananthapuram is bound by the Arabian Sea in the west and Tamil Nadu in the east. Named after Anantha Padmanabha or Lord Vishnu, the city is home to many ancient temples. But the landmark is the Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple around which the city has been built on seven low hills. The wooded highlands of the Western Ghats in the eastern and northeastern borders give Thiruvananthapuram some of the most enchanting picnic spots. A long shoreline with internationally renowned beaches, historic monuments, backwater stretches and a rich cultural heritage make this district a much sought-after tourist destination. 2nd Day (Wed 18th February) : Trivandrum to Kanyakumari – Transfer and Sightseeing (Via Poovar )
After breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Kanyakumari (Via Poovar ).on arrival check in to the hotel. Proceed for local Sightseeing (if time permits) else day at leisure or own activities and overnight stay at Kanyakumari. Captivating Kanyakumari the southernmost end of Tamilnadu and the lands end of India is one of the most popular tourist spot of the country. The beautiful town on the very tip of the Indian Peninsula is set on the confluence of the Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean. The town is at its best during Chaitra Poornima (full moon day in April), when the Sun and Moon are face to face at the same horizon. Other full moon days are also special when you can see the sunset and the moon rise almost simultaneously. Sightseeing in Kanyakumari: Vivekananda Rock, Kanyakumari Devi Temple.
3rd Day (Thu 19th February) : Kanyakumari to Rameswaram – Transfer and sightseeing
After breakfast checkout from hotel and transfer to Rameswaram, on arrival check in to the hotel.If time permits proceed for local Sightseeing and overnight stay at Rameswaram.Rameswaram is in the Ramanathapuram district in Tamil Nadu. It is located on Pamban Island separated from mainland India by the Pamban channel and is about 50 kilometres from Mannar Island, Sri Lanka. It is situated in the Gulf of Mannar, at the very tip of the Indian peninsula. Pamban Island, also known as Rameswaram Island, is connected to mainland India by the Pamban Bridge. Rameswaram is the terminus of the railway line from Chennai and Madurai.Rameswaram Sightseeing includes Ramanathaswamy Temple, Five Faced Hanuman Temple & Pamban Bridge.
4th Day (Fri 20th February) : Rameshwaram – Full Day Sightseeing – with Dhanushkodi
Dhanushkodi is an abandoned town at the south-eastern tip of Pamban Island of the state of Tamil Nadu in India. It is south-east of Pamban and is about 24 kilometres west of Talaimannar in Sri Lanka. The town was destroyed during the 1964 Rameswaram cyclone and remains uninhabited in the aftermath.
5th Day (Sat 21st February) : Rameswaram to Madurai – Transfer & Sightseeing
After breakfast checkout from hotel and transfer to Madurai, on arrival check in to the hotel. If time permits proceed for local Sightseeing and overnight stay at Madurai.Madurai is a major city and cultural headquarters in the state of Tamil Nadu. Situated at an altitude of approximately 350 feet above sea level. Madurai is the third largest city by area. Located on the banks of River Vaigai, Madurai has been a major settlement for two millennia and is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world.Madurai Sightseeing includes Sree Meenakshi Amman Temple, Gandhi Museum & Thirumalai Nayakkar Palace .
