1st Day (Mon 16th December) : Cochin to Munnar – Arrival & Transfer Arrival at Cochin airport/ railway station, meet and assistance. Transfer to Munnar . Munnar is 1800 mts above sea level and also the place of South India’s highest peak (Anamudi – 2695 mts). On the way visit Valara, On the way, visit Valara and Cheeyappara waterfalls; both of these are seasonal attractions, along with tea plantations. On arrival at Munnar, transfer to the Hotel. Check in at Hotel. Afternoon visit Rajamala (Eravikulam National Park), the best place to see Nilgiri Tahr (Hemitragus Hilarious) – the mountain goat of South India & Tea Museum . Evening have a short visit to Munnar town. You can see the beautiful tea estates like a green paradise.overnight at the hotel. |

2nd Day (Tue 17th December) : Munnar – Full Day Sightseeing Morning after breakfast full day visit to Munnar. Mattupetty dam, Echo Point, Kundala Dam, Pothamedu View Point, Blossom Park etc are some of the highlights of the sightseeing. Shopping & overnight at the hotel in Munnar. |

3rd Day (Wed 18th December) : Munnar to Kumarakom – Transfer & Sightseeins After breakfast checkout from the hotel and drive to Kumarakom, on arrival check in to the hotel. Proceed for local Sightseeing (if time permits) else day at leisure or own activities and overnight stay at Kumarakom. A vibrant backwater hamlet, Kumarakom is a tiny hamlet perched on the western banks of the Vembanad Lake – a stretch of backwater spread over 900 sq. kms. The hamlet clings to tradition and the local population prefers to live adhering to their old ways. Yet every modern amenity is available with a dash of tradition and culture interwoven into the fabric of everyday life and it’s truly fascinating to observe as you glide past them in your canoe, motorboat or houseboat, a perfect example of give and take with mother nature. 4th Day (Thu 19th December) : Kumarakom – Full Day Sightseeing You are at leisure on this day to enjoy the backwater paradise at its best. Enjoy a visit to the nearby bird sanctuary; an ornithologist’s paradise is a favorite haunt of migratory birds like the Siberian stork, egret, darter, heron and teal. Overnight stay at Kumarakom. |

5th Day (Fri 20th December) : Kumarakom to Cochin – Day Trip to Athirapally After breakfast drive to Athirapally for a Day trip and overnight stay at Cochin. Athirapally Waterfalls is located 78 kms from Kochi (Cochin), located at the entrance to Sholayar ranges, this waterfall is a popular picnic spot. Affording to the onlookers, one of the most bewitching sights, Athirapally Falls is about 80 feet high and located in the forest area. Combined with the greenery, it infuses freshness into any tired soul. 6th Day (Sat 21st December) : Cochin – Departure
After breakfast check out from the Hotel and drive to Cochin Airport / railway station (depending on your departure place) for your flight / train back home, feeling content about a wonderful holiday you spent in the God’s Own Country. |
