As per union budget 2023 it is proposed that the TCS rate on International tour packages is increased from 5% to 20% and is applicable from 1st Oct, 2023.

As per the provisions of the act, the TCS is to be collected at the time of debiting the buyer or receipt from buyer, whichever is earlier. Therefore, the chargeable rate of TCS 5% or 20% will depend upon the payment or invoice (Tour end date) whichever is earlier.

• In case of request for partial cancellation i.e. reduction of number of rooms or period of stay is received from the guests before 7 clear days or more in advance from scheduled date of arrival, 80%of the advance received on account of room(s) / period of stay only for which the request has been received from the guests will be refunded. Similarly if request is received between 3 to 6 days before, 50% of the advance received shall be refunded. No refund shall be given if the cancellation intimation is received less than 3 days before the date of arrival

As a result, a lot of times Adventure Parasailing is offered as an option on the spot by the water sport company – but of course there is an extra premium attached to it & the guests will be informed accordingly.
