2nd Day – (Tuesday 29th September) : Phuentsholing to Thimphu – Transfer

3rd Day – (Wednesday 30th September) : Thimphu to Punakha/Wangdue – Sightseeing and Transfer

After breakfast, visit the Kuenselphodrang (Buddha Dordenma). It is located at a short drive from Thimphu City Centre; Kuenselphodrang offers a good overview of the Thimphu valley. The largest statue of Buddha in the country sits here which houses over one hundred thousand smaller Buddha statues. Then visit the National Memorial Chorten built in the memory of the Third King of Bhutan and visit the Folk Heritage Museum. Afternoon, transfer to Punakha / Wangdue Phodrang (4,298 ft.), on the way Stop at Dochu-La-Pass (10334 ft.) to view the higher Himalayas. The pass is approximately 25 kms away from Thimphu and is the highest point between the Thimphu and Punakha/Wangdue Valley. Another attraction is the 108 chorten/stupas (Druk Wangyel Chortens) built close to each other surrounded by numerous colourful prayer flags. On arrival at Punakha check in at the hotel. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay at Punakha / Wangdue.
4th Day – (Thursday 1st October) : Punakha/Wangdue – Gangtey/Phobjikha Excursion or Punakha Sightseeing
Approx Distance: 78 Km • Est. Travel Time: 3 hrs

After breakfast, start for full day excursion trip to Gangtey Valley (9,842 ft.). On the way you shall come across different flora and fauna, monuments, villages and people. Stop at places for sightseeing and photography. While in Gangtey visit the Gangtey Goemba the only Nyingmapa monastery in western Bhutan, which was established in the 17th century. Then explore the Phobjikha valley, one of the most beautiful glacial valleys in the Himalayas and the winter roosting place for the endangered Black necked Cranes which migrates from the arid plains of Tibet in the north. You may choose to hike around the Valley. After visiting the valley drive back to Punakha. Overnight stay at Punakha / Wangdue.

Alternatively, instead of going to Gangtey / Phobjikha, you also have an option of spending the day in Punakha Valley itself. After breakfast hike to Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten which is about 45 Mins easy hike to the top of the hill. It offers a breath-taking view of the Punakha Valley. After that visit Punakha Suspension Bridge which is one of the longest in Bhutan. Later visit The Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery, a temple plus nunnery perched on a ridge overlooking Toebesa village, Punakha and Wangduephodrang valleys. Rest of the day free for leisure. 5th Day – (Friday 2nd October) : Punakha/Wangdue to Paro – Sightseeing and Transfer

Approx Distance: 125 Km • Est. Travel Time: 5 hrs
After breakfast, visit Punakha Dzong – built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. For many years until the time of the second king, it served as the seat of the Government. The Dzong was named Druk Pungthang Dechen Phodrang (Palace of Great Happiness). Punakha is still the winter residence of Je-Khenpo and King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck convened the first National Assembly here in 1952. After that take a short and easy hike to visit the Chhimi Lhakhang – The Temple, also known as “The Temple of Fertility” was built by Lama Drukpa Kuenley, “The Devine Mad Man”. Afternoon, transfer to Paro (7,480 ft.). On arrival check in at the hotel. Evening free for shopping and to stroll around the local market. Overnight stay at Paro.
6th Day – (Saturday 3rd October) : Paro – Sightseeing
After breakfast start full day sightseeing covering Ta Dzong – Originally built as a watchtower, it is now the National Museum of Bhutan with an excellent collection of Bhutanese antiquities, Rinpung Dzong – consecrated in 1645 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal on the site of smaller fort. During the 17th & 18th centuries it served as a bastion against invasion from the north. Currently, it is the administrative seat of Paro district, and also houses the state monastic community of about 200 members. Afternoon, visit the Drukgyel Dzong – Built in 1647 to commemorate the victory over an invasion from Tibet, the dzong was however destroyed by accidental fire in 1951. It was preserved in ruins as a heritage site. A full reconstruction of the Dzong was started in 2016. On a clear day experience a beautiful view of Mt. Jhomolhari (24035 ft.); from here. Then visit the Kichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Bhutan built in 659 AD by the Tibetan King Songtsen Gembo. This is the second of the two temples built in a single day to hold down the giant demoness who was preventing the spread of Buddhism. In the evening, explore the Paro Town. Overnight stay at Paro.

 
8th Day – (Monday 5th October) : Phuentsholing to NJP Railway Station/IXB Airport – Drop

Approx Distance: 145 Km • Est. Travel Time: 5 hrs

20 Nov     Hubli – Sahastra Lingam – Gokarna (Approx 220 kms / 4 hrs)
Morning proceed to Gokarna. En-route visit to Sahastra Lingam – It is in the river Shalmala and is famous for being the location where around a thousand lingas are carved on rocks in the river and on its banks.  Later in the evening arrive at Gokarna. Sightseeing and Darshan at Gokarna. Overnight at hotel.
21 Nov     Gokarna – Jog Falls (Approx 120 kms / 3 hrs)
Morning proceed to Jog falls – a waterfall on the Sharavati river and third highest plunge waterfall in India. Report at Hotel at 1:00 Pm.1:30 Pm to 3:00 Pm Lunch3:30 to 6:00 pm Water activities (Boating/Kayaking/Pedal boat/Swimming)Dinner and Night stay at Hotel.
22 Nov     Jog Falls – Murudeshwar (Approx 100 kms / 2.5 hrs)
Morning Visit to jog falls / Nature walk / Hike. After Breakfast checkout and  proceed to Murudeshwar.Today we proceed to Murudeshwara, visit the Shiva Temple – which houses the world’s second-largest Shiva statue. We also visit Cave Sculptures of Murudeshwar which depicts beautiful narration of the story of Aatmalinga. Later you can also visit the top floor of Raja Gopura at your own cost to get a bird’s eye view of the Lord Shiva statue and the surrounding area. Evening – enjoy free time at Murudeshwar beach. Overnight at hotel.
23 Nov    Murudeshwar – Kolluru Shri Mookambika Devi Temple – Sringeri –  Hariharpura – Udupi  (Approx 280  kms / 6 hrs 30 Minutes)
Morning proceed to Kolluru Shri Mookambika Devi Temple. Later leave for Darshan at Sri Vidyashankara Temple, Sringeri – a unique monument built entirely of stone combining both Hoysala (Chalukya) and Dravidian architectural styles. Twelve pillars of this temple are marked by the twelve signs of the zodiac in their regular order. Visit Shardamba temple. Later Proceed to Hariharpura. Later proceed to Udupi. Visit Krishna Mandir at Udupi. Overnight at hotel. Tour Concludes!.
24 Nov    Udupi – Mangalore (Approx 60  kms / 1 hrs)
Udipi local sightseeing to include Shardamba Temple,  Shri Krishna Matha, Mattu Beach. Afternoon leave for Mangalore. Visit Kadri Shree Manjunath Temple in Mangalore. Shopping at Mangalore.  Overnight at hotel. Tour Concludes!.
