7th Day – (Tuesday 27th October) : Phuentsholing to Paro – TransferApprox Distance: 145 Km • Est. Travel Time: 5 hrs
After breakfast, complete the immigration formalities and begin your scenic drive to Paro (7,300 ft.), one of Bhutan’s most picturesque valleys. En route, visit the serene Kharbandi Monastery, offering beautiful views of the surrounding plains, and stop at the picturesque Wankha Waterfall for photography and a short refreshment break. Continue your journey through the winding Himalayan roads, passing lush forests and charming Bhutanese villages. Upon arrival in Paro, check in to the hotel. 8th Day – (Wednesday 28th October) : Paro – Taktshang Monastery Excursion

After breakfast, drive to the base camp of the iconic Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest) and embark on a scenic hike through pine forests to Bhutan’s most revered monastery, dramatically perched on a cliffside. Believed to be the meditation site of Guru Rinpoche, the monastery offers breathtaking views of the Paro Valley. If time permits, visit the historic Drukgyel Dzong, followed by Kichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples. Return to Paro for an overnight stay.
Important Note (About Tiger’s Nest Monastery / Taktsang Monastery) Tiger’s Nest Monastery is located at 3,120 m (10,240 ft.) and requires a moderate hike of about 4 km one way (8 km round trip), taking approximately 4–6 hours. The hike is not recommended for senior citizens, guests with knee problems, or children below 8 years. The monastery can be viewed from the base camp and cafeteria viewpoint.
9th Day – (Thursday 29th October) : Paro to Thimpu – Sightseeing and Transfer
Approx Distance: 55 Km • Est. Travel Time: 1 hr 30 mins
with an excellent collection of arts, relics, religious thangka, etc. Visit the Paro Rinpung Dzong which literally means the “fortress of the heap of jewels”. The Dzong now serves as the administrative and judicial seat of Paro Dzongkhag. Then explore the Paro Town. Afternoon, visit the Kyichhu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan. Drive further to visit the ruins of the Drukgyel Dzong built by Tenzin Drukdra in 1649 at the behest of Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal to commemorate the victory over Tibetan invasion. On the way back take a photo stop to catch the view of the Taktshang Monastery (Tiger Nest). Further ahead stop at the Paro Airport View Point to enjoy the view and the soothing breeze for a while. 10th Day – (Friday 30th October) : Thimphu – Punakha/Wangdue Excursion
Approx Distance: 78 Km • Est. Travel Time: 3 hrs
After breakfast drive to Punakha (4298 ft). On the way stop at Dochula Pass at 3150 m to view the higher Himalayas. The pass is approximately 25 kms away from Thimphu and is the highest point between the Thimphu and Punakha/Wangdue Valley. Another attraction is the 108 chorten/stupas (Druk Wangyel Chortens) built close to each other surrounded by numerous colorful prayer flags. Further, one the way to Punakha enjoy the winding roads and the nature at its best. While in Punakha, take a short and easy hike to visit the Chhimi Lhakhang which is also known as the “The Temple of Fertility” and was built by Lama Drukpa Kuenley, “The Devine Mad Man”. Then, visit the Punakha Dzong. Built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal the Dzong served as the seat of the Government until the time of the Second King of Bhutan. The Dzong was named Druk Pungthang Dechen Phodrang (Palace of Great Happiness). It is still the winter residence of Je-Khenpo. If time permits, visit the Suspension Bridge, which is one of the longest in Bhutan. In the evening, drive back to Thimphu. Overnight at Thimphu.
11th Day – (Saturday 31st October) : Thimphu to Phuentsholing – Transfer

Permit for Bhutan:

Indian nationals do not require visa to travel in Bhutan. Only a valid passport or Voter Id card are the valid documents for obtaining entry permit.

Advance Online Permits

If you are traveling with an Indian Passport (with a minimum validity of 6 months from the date of departure from Bhutan), you can avail advance online permits by sending us clear colour scanned passport copy.
