This morning you will be taken  for a visit of the Hindu culture in Nepal, Pashupatinath.  This is the place where holy saddhus pray. The Pashupatinath Temple is a famous, sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Pashupatinath and is located on the banks of the Bagmati River 5 kilometres north-east of Kathmandu Valley in the eastern city of Kathmandu the capital of Nepal. This temple is considered one of the sacred temples of Hindu faith .The temple serves as the seat of the national deity, Lord Pashupatinath. This temple complex is on UNESCO World Heritage Sites’s list Since 1979. This “extensive Hindu temple precinct” is a “sprawling collection of temples, ashrams, images and inscriptions raised over the centuries along the banks of the sacred Bagmati river”. We then continue to the holiest shrine for the Buddhist culture in Nepal, Bouddhanath, with its large stupa, this is the place where all devout Buddhists come for a pilgrimage. After completion of these two spots, you will be taken take you for a visit to Patan. Also known as  Lalitpur  , the city of beauty is separated from Kathmandu only by the Bagmati River and is the second largest town in the valley. Lalitpur is fragmented from other cities due to its substantive architectural ancient masterpieces. Patan’s central Durbar Square is absolutely packed with temples: Its an architectural center point with a far greater concentration of temples per sq. meter than in Kathamandu or Bhaktapur. Within  the city also lies the Tibetan refugee center, home to most of the valley’s Tibetan population.  While technically refugees,

the Tibetans are some of the wealthiest people in the valley because of the carpet industry they operate.  For those looking to bring home a fine Tibetan carpet, this is the place to shop. You will then go to Swayambhunath the golden spire of the 5th-century Swayambhu stupa is adorned with a colorful fluttering of prayer flags; it crowns a hill overlooking the Kathmandu Valley and offers fantastic views over the city of Kathmandu. Swayambhunath is one of the most recognizable symbols in Nepal and the painted eyes of Buddha watch all who ascend the worn stone steps.

Later visit the Budanilkantha Temple which is also known as the Sleeping Vishnu Temple.

Budhanilkantha Temple, located in Budhanilkantha, Nepal, is a Hindu open air temple dedicated to Lord Mahavishnu. Budhanilkantha Temple is also known as the Narayanthan Temple for Hindus, and can be identified by a large reclining statue of Lord Mahavishnu. However In the Buddhist community, the term “Buddhanilkantha” refers to one of the various manifestations of Avalokiteshvara. The name means “Blue-Throated Buddha.”

Drive to Pokhara. Pokhara is 210 kms from Kathmandu and is a 7 hours drive approx. From Pokhara town (2,352 feet) in good weather there are splendid views right from the hotel. On the way you have an option at an extra cost of doing the river rafting ( Inr 3000 nett per person ) or visit the Manakamna Temple “ Goddess of Fulfilling Wishes” where you are taken by a cable ride

This morning you will go for a excursion trip to Sarangkot. Sarangkot is the most popular tourist destination from where the tourist can enjoy the great view of the Pokhara Valley and the magnificent view of the mountains. Sarangkot is only 13 kms from Lake Side, Pokhara. Sarangkot is the highest view point for a sunrise and it is just 1592m high. Sarangkot is  cooler than Pokhara. Sarangkot can be reached easily by 45 to 60 minutes by a car ride to the top from Pokhara. Many tourists come to Sarangkot for sunrise view and go back.

From Sarangkot, on the northern direction we can see Dhaulagiri in the far west. Annapurna range is visible when the weather is clear on the same side. On the southern direction the village overlooks the city of Pokhara and its lake on the north-western outskirts of the city.

This afternoon you will visit Bindebasini Temple. This is one of the oldest temples in Pokhara was a part of Kaski Kingdom, the main deity of the temple, Goddess Durga, was brought from India . Apart from the peace and tranquility that can be felt in this region, the premises of the temple offers a good view of the Himalaya on a clear day. The temple is in the area of the bazaar, hence a journey of the old bazaar can be combined with a visit to the temple. Sightseeing to Devi’s fall, also known as Patale Chango is an awesome waterfall lying 2 km southwest of Pokhara. During summer and rainy season, the waterfall takes its real form, with gushing water splashing and making its way through the rocks. Just opposite of Devi’s fall, on the other side of the road, there is Gupteshwor Cave. This cave is popular for the different natural forms made from limestone deposits. Start your day with a sightseeing tour of Trivandrum, (Thiruvananthapuram) literally means ‘the abode of Anantha’, the snake God. The main attraction of the city is the Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple dedicated to Vishnu (also known as Padmanabha) reclining on the snake Anantha. The imposing gopuram (gateway tower) and intricate sculptures of the temple make it a very popular tourist attraction. Later visit Napier Museum, an art and natural history museum which houses a collection of archaeological and historic artifacts, bronze idols, ancient ornaments, a temple chariot and ivory carvings. 06 June) : Cochin to Munnar – Transfer & sightseeing
You will be picked from Cochin Airport,  Transfer to Munnar Munnar is 1800 mts above sea level and also the place of South India’s highest peak (Anamudi – 2695 mts). On the way, visit Valara and Cheeyappara waterfalls; both of these are seasonal attractions, along with tea plantations. On arrival at Munnar, transfer to the Hotel. Check in at Hotel. Afternoon visit Rajamala (Eravikulam National Park), the best place to see Nilgiri Tahr (Hemitragus Hilarious) – the mountain goat of South India & Tea Museum. Evening have a short visit to Munnar town. You can see the beautiful tea estates like a green paradise. overnight at the hotel. Tickets for Eravikulam National Park are available at https://www.eravikulamnationalpark.in/landing/axRegister.php. Please note that the park will remain closed from February 1 to April 1 to ensure a safe calving season.

07 June : Munnar – Full Day Sightseeing

Morning after breakfast full day visit to Munnar. Mattupetty dam, Echo Point, Kundala Dam, Pothamedu View Point, Blossom Park etc are some of the highlights of the sightseeing. Shopping & overnight at the hotel in Munnar.

08 June : Munnar – Second Day Sightseeing
Morning depart to enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of Munnar visiting Mattupetty Dam/Lake, Echo Point, Gundala Lake, Photo Point, Elephant Arrival Spot. Evening Spice/Tea trailing at Munnar. Overnight at the Hotel in Munnar.

After breakfast check out from the Hotel and drive to  Kumarakom approx. 120 Kms, the backwater region of Kerala. Upon arrival check in to your hotel. Rest in the evening is free to relax. Overnight stay in Kumarakom.
Optional : One can enjoy a backwater cruise ride at an additional cost on your own

 Leave for Kochin approx – 60 Kms/ 1.5 Hrs. Sightseeing in Kochin & Drop at Kochin Airport/ Railway station for onwards journey.

Meet & Greet on arrival at Paro Airport and transfer to Thimphu (7,710 ft.) the capital city of Bhutan. On arrival check in at the hotel, where you can keep your luggage, relax, and refresh. Afternoon,  visit the Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Dordenma). Located at a short drive from Thimphu City Centre, Kuensel Phodrang offers a good overview of the Thimphu valley. The largest statue of Buddha in the country sits here which houses over one hundred thousand smaller Buddha statues. Then visit the National Memorial Chorten built in the memory of the Third King of Bhutan. In the evening, visit the Tashichho Dzong, first built in 1216 A.D. by Lama Gyalwa Lhanangpa. The Dzong is the seat of the National Government and the Central Monastic Body, including the summer residence of the Je Khenpo (Chief Abbot of Bhutan). Overnight stay at Thimphu.

(Distance: 78 Kms. / Driving Time: 3 Hrs. / Altitude of Punakha: 1,310 Mts.)

After breakfast drive to Punakha/Wangdue (4298 ft.), on the way Stop at Dochu-La-Pass (10334 ft.) to view the higher Himalayas. The pass is approximately 25 kms away from Thimphu and is the highest point between the Thimphu and Punakha/Wangdue Valley. Another attraction is the 108 chorten/stupas (Druk Wangyel Chortens) built close to each other surrounded by numerous colorful prayer flags. On arrival at Punakha, check in at the hotel. Afternoon, visit Punakha Dzong – built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. For many years until the time of the second king, it served as the seat of the Government. The Dzong was named Druk Pungthang Dechen Phodrang (Palace of Great Happiness). Punakha is still the winter residence of Je-Khenpo and King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck convened the first National Assembly here in 1952.  After that take a short and easy hike to visit the Chhimi Lhakhang – The Temple, also known as “The Temple of Fertility” was built by Lama Drukpa Kuenley, “The Devine Mad Man”. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay at Punakha / Wangdue.

(Excursion to Gangtey – Distance: 78 kms. One way / Driving Time: 3 hrs.)

After breakfast, start for full day excursion trip to Gangtey Valley (9,842 ft.). On the way you shall come across different flora and fauna, monuments, villages and people. Stop at places for sightseeing and photography. While in Gangtey visit the Gangtey Goemba the only Nyingmapa monastery in western Bhutan, which was established in the 17th century. Then explore the Phobjikha valley, one of the most beautiful glacial valleys in the Himalayas and the winter roosting place for the endangered Black necked Cranes which migrates from the arid plains of Tibet in the north. You may choose to hike around the Valley. After visiting the valley drive back to Punakha. Overnight stay at Punakha / Wangdue.

Alternatively, instead of going to Gangtey / Phobjikha, you also have an option of spending the day in Punakha Valley itself. After breakfast hike to Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten which is about 45 Mins easy hike to the top of the hill. It offers a breath-taking view of the Punakha Valley. After that visit Punakha Suspension Bridge which is one of the longest in Bhutan. Later visit The Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery, a temple plus nunnery perched on a ridge overlooking Toebesa village, Punakha and Wangduephodrang valleys. Rest of the day free for leisure. Overnight stay at Punakha / Wangdue.

After breakfast drive to Paro (7,483 ft.). On the way stop at Lamperi to visit Royal Botanical Park. This park is a treat for nature lovers as the 36 species of exotic rhododendron and approximately 220 types of charming birds will make your day unforgettable. On arrival check in at the hotel. Afternoon visit Ta Dzong – National Museum with an excellent collection of arts, relics, religious thangkha, etc. Then visit the Rinpung Dzong – Meaning “fortress of the heap of jewels”. The dzong now serves as the administrative and judicial seat of Paro. Rest of the evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Paro.

After breakfast, drive to the base of the abode of gods and monks, the Taktshang Monastery. The monastery is a 2 -3 hours hike uphill from here. One feels truly blessed reaching the monastery. The primary Lhakhang was built surrounding Guru Rinpoche’s Meditation cave in 1684 which clings to the edge of a sheer Rock cliff that plunges 900 meters into the valley below. Legend has it that Guru Rinpoche flew here on the back of a tigress which gives its name “Taktshang” meaning Tiger’s nest. Afternoon (If time permits), visit the Drukgyel Dzong. Built in 1647, the dzong was destroyed by accidental fire and left in ruins as an evocative reminder of the great victories it was built to commemorate. Explore the ramparts and experience an unforgettable view of Mt. Jhomolhari (7,314 m). On the way back, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Bhutan. Overnight stay at Paro.

After breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Paro Airport for your onward journey.

Permit for Bhutan:

Indian nationals do not require visa to travel in Bhutan. Only a valid passport or Voter Id card are the valid documents for obtaining entry permit.

After breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee (4,400 ft.), the wettest place in the world. On the way enjoy Mawkdok Valley, Nohkalikai falls and Arwah Caves. On arrival at Cherrapunjee, check in at your hotel. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.

Note: Sohra (Cherrapunjee) & Dawki are rich by their own unique beauty & full of natural elegance. The places are paradise of nature lovers & travel enthusiastic. But these destinations are equipped with very limited options, facilities & basic amenities. Even best hotels are equivalent to basic 3*, that too without Fan (at few places), AC & Lift. Standard Accommodations over there are available; just with clean rooms, hygienic bathroom & basic non vegetarian food (very limited options are there for vegetarian guests)

After breakfast we get ready for a half day trek to visit the Double Decker Living Root Bridge deep inside the jungle. It will take 3 to 4 hrs (depending on the physical fitness of the person). Afternoon visit Nohsngithiang Falls (also known as the Seven Sisters Waterfalls), Mawsmai Cave, Koh Ram Hah and Ecopark. Evening back to the hotel. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.
Optional Activity: Proceed for a full day trekking to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge at Nongriat Village. Need to trek approx. 3200 steps each way to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge. We can further trek down to the Rainbow Falls which take about 60 to 90 minutes from the Double Decker Living Root Bridge.

After breakfast drive to Guwahati, enroute visit Elephanta falls. Arrive and check in at hotel.  visit Kamakhya Temple (Notes -Timing 08:00 A.M till 01:00 P.M & 3:00 P.M till its gets dark),. Overnight stay at Guwahati.
