Meeting at airport upon arrival by Office Personnel. Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal and the Kathmandu Valley is the political and cultural heart of the Kingdom. After arrival you will be transferred to the hotel.

This morning you will be taken  for a visit of the Hindu culture in Nepal, Pashupatinath.  This is the place where holy saddhus pray.

The Pashupatinath Temple is a famous, sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Pashupatinath and is located on the banks of the Bagmati River 5 kilometres north-east of Kathmandu Valley in the eastern city of Kathmandu the capital of Nepal. This temple is considered one of the sacred temples of Hindu faith .The temple serves as the seat of the national deity, Lord Pashupatinath. This temple complex is on UNESCO World Heritage Sites’s list Since 1979. This “extensive Hindu temple precinct” is a “sprawling collection of temples, ashrams, images and inscriptions raised over the centuries along the banks of the sacred Bagmati river”.  We then continue to the holiest shrine for the Buddhist culture in Nepal, Bouddhanath, with its large stupa, this is the place where Buddhists  devout come for a pilgrimage. Later you will be taken take you for a visit to Patan. Also known as  Lalitpur  , the city of beauty is separated from Kathmandu only by the Bagmati River and is the second largest town in the valley. Lalitpur is fragmented from other cities due to its substantive architectural ancient masterpieces. Patan’s central Durbar Square is absolutely packed with temples: Its an architectural center point with a far greater concentration of temples per sq. meter than in Kathamandu or Bhaktapur. Within  the city also lies the Tibetan refugee center, home to most of the valley’s Tibetan population.  While technically refugees, the Tibetans are some of the wealthiest people in the valley because of the carpet industry they operate.  For those looking to bring home a fine Tibetan carpet, this is the place to shop. You will then go to Swayambhunath the golden spire of the 5th-century Swayambhu stupa is adorned with a colorful fluttering of prayer flags; it crowns a hill overlooking the Kathmandu Valley and offers fantastic views over the city of Kathmandu. Swayambhunath is one of the most recognizable symbols in Nepal and the painted eyes of Buddha watch all who ascend the worn stone steps.

Later visit Budanilkantha Temple which is also known as the Sleeping Vishnu Temple.

Drive from your hotel to Thankot and then take a cable car ( Inr 800 per person payable directly ) to Chandragiri Hills. Chandragiri Cable Car is a gondola lift transportation system located in Kathmandu, Nepal. Opened on 2016, the Chandragiri Cable Car runs from Thankot to Chandragiri hills. The 2.4 km (9,095 ft) line has two stations.

Later visit Thamel which is the Tourist hub of Nepal.

Drive to Pokhara. Pokhara is 210 kms from Kathmandu and is a 7 hours drive approx. From Pokhara town (2,352 feet) in good weather there are splendid views right from the hotel. On the way you have an option at an extra cost of doing the river rafting ( Inr 2000 nett per person ) or visit the Manakamna Temple “ Goddess of Fulfilling Wishes” where you are taken by a cable ride

( Inr 670 nett per person payable directly ) of 10 mins. Overnight at hotel.

From Sarangkot, on the northern direction we can see Dhaulagiri in the far west. Annapurna range is visible when the weather is clear on the same side. On the southern direction the village overlooks the city of Pokhara and its lake on the north-western outskirts of the city.

This afternoon you will visit Bindebasini Temple. This is one of the oldest temples in Pokhara was a part of Kaski Kingdom, the main deity of the temple, Goddess Durga, was brought from India . Apart from the peace and tranquility that can be felt in this region, the premises of the temple offers a good view of the Himalaya on a clear day. The temple is in the area of the bazaar, hence a journey of the old bazaar can be combined with a visit to the temple. Sightseeing to Devi’s fall, also known as Patale Chango is an awesome waterfall lying 2 km southwest of Pokhara. During summer and rainy season, the waterfall takes its real form, with gushing water splashing and making its way through the rocks. Just opposite of Devi’s fall, on the other side of the road, there is Gupteshwor Cave. This cave is popular for the different natural forms made from limestone deposits. Turtuk is the last village on the Indian side and was earlier on the other side of the border. The people and culture of Turtuk are very distinct and you will notice the same when you visit this place. Carry packed lunch with you. Dinner and Overnight at Nubra.

A long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometer at its widest point and over 130km long, it is bisected by the international border between India and China. After early breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee (4,400 ft.), the wettest place in the world. You will see the beautiful waterfall known as Nohkalikai. You can also explore the caves known as Mawsmai. Evening return to Shillong, enroute visit Elephanta falls. Overnight stay at Shillong

Later visit Urgeling Gompa, 6th Dalai Lama’s birth place who is the only Indian to have risen to such a high position in Gelupka Sect of Buddhism so far. Inside the monastery there are several Stupas (Vihar) and people from all walks of life visit this place during Buddhist new year to get the blessing for the coming year. Then proceed to the War Memorial which is dedicated to the martyrs of the 1962 Sino-Indian war. The memorial is 40-foot-high and like a stupa in design. It is locally called ‘Namgyal Chortan’. The  names of 2420 martyrs imprinted in gold on 32 black granite plagues.

You can also visit the craft center in Tawang sells beautiful masks, hand woven carpets, jewellery in silver, coral and amber, ‘chubas’ the local dressand delightful affordable mementos. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Tawang

14th May: Arrive Srinagar

15th May :  Srinagar –  Sonmarg – Srinagar ( 86 kms / 3:30 hours approximately)

After breakfast leave with a full day excursion for Sonmarg “The meadow of gold. Situated at an altitude of 9000 Ft. Sonmarg is also called “The meadow of gold” .Sonmarg lies in Sindh Valley streamed with flowers and surrounded by mountains. The place is also the base for some interesting treks to the high altitude of Himalayan Lake. Ponies can be hired for the trip up to Thajiwas glacier, which is a major local attraction during the summer.

16th May: Srinagar- Gulmarg- Srinagar (56 Kms / 2:00 hours approximately)

After breakfast drive to Gulmarg “Meadow of Flowers” 2730 Mts. above sea level. The distance of 56 Kms will be covered in about 2:00 hrs. Gulmarg has one of the best Ski slopes in the world and the highest golf course of the world with 18 holes. Later visirt local market in Gulmarg.One can also have a short trek upto Khilanmarg which can be covered in about 3 to 4 hrs or enjoy the scenic view of Kongdori on a Cable Car Known as Gondola (on direct paybasis).
