Continue on to the charming village of Ano Mera, home to the lovely Panagia Tourliani Monastery. Originally built in 1542 and dedicated to the Virgin Mary, its impressive architecture, whitewashed exterior and colored dome have long charmed visitors from around the world. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Then you’re off to Mykonos for a guided walking tour through the labyrinth of tiny streets, white houses and red-roofed churches where a surprise is around every turn.

We start our bus tour with a 15 minute short panoramic photo stop at Profitis Ilias mountain, the highest peak of the island. On top of the mountain, there is the Monastery of Prophet Elias from which the mountain got its name, featuring a breathtaking view to the island and the Aegean Sea.
Stop At: Megalochori – Traditional Village, Megalochori Greece
We continue with a 25 minute walking tour at Megalochori, one of the most beautiful villages of the island. Here typical traditional cycladic houses, neoclassic buildings as well as small cave houses blend in together in harmony.

Stop At: Akrotiri Archaeological Site, Akrotiri 84700 Greece
On our next stop, we have an hour and a half guided visit, with professional licensed guide at the Akrotiri excavations. Akrotiri was one of the most important prehistoric settlements of Greece that was destroyed by a huge volcanic eruption of the Thera volcano during the 17th century BC. The city was buried under the volcanic ash, which preserved the whole city in perfect conditions and it is often called the prehestoric Pompei. Entrance fees of 12 euros p/p to the site are not included.
Stop At: Red Beach, Akrotiri Greece
After, we visit Red Beach, well known for the unique color of the sand and the hill behind ii, where we have 30 minutes free time for photos or for a walk.

Also, we visit one of the longest beaches in Cyclades & the best beach in Santorini, the black sand beach of Perivolos.
