02 July :  –  NJP Railway Station/IXB Airport to Phuentsholing – Pick up
Approx Distance: 157 Km • Est. Travel Time: 5 hrs
Meet & Greet on arrival at NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport and transfer to Phuentsholing (961 ft.) – The Gateway of Bhutan by Road from India. It is a thriving commercial centre on the northern edge of the Indian Plains. On arrival check in at the hotel. In the evening, you may choose to relax at the hotel or walk around the Phuentsholing town. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.

03 July  : Phuentsholing to Thimphu – Transfer

Approx Distance: 150 Km • Est. Travel Time: 5 hrs

After breakfast, complete the immigration formalities and transfer to Thimphu (7,710 ft.) the capital city of Bhutan. On the way, stop at places to view scenery and for Photography. On arrival check in at the hotel. In the evening, you may choose to relax at the hotel or take a leisure walk around the Thimphu City. Overnight stay at Thimphu.

04 July : –   Thimphu to Punakha/Wangdue – Sightseeing and Transfer

Approx Distance: 70 Km • Est. Travel Time: 3 hrs
After breakfast, visit the Kuenselphodrang (Buddha Dordenma). It is located at a short drive from Thimphu City Centre; Kuenselphodrang offers a good overview of the Thimphu valley. The largest statue of Buddha in the country sits here which houses over one hundred thousand smaller Buddha statues. Then visit the National Memorial Chorten built in the memory of the Third King of Bhutan and visit the Folk Heritage Museum. Afternoon, transfer to Punakha / Wangdue Phodrang (4,298 ft.), on the way Stop at Dochu-La-Pass (10334 ft.) to view the higher Himalayas. The pass is approximately 25 kms away from Thimphu and is the highest point between the Thimphu and Punakha/Wangdue Valley. Another attraction is the 108 chorten/stupas (Druk Wangyel Chortens) built close to each other surrounded by numerous colourful prayer flags. On arrival at Punakha check in at the hotel. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay at Punakha / Wangdue.

After breakfast, start for full day excursion trip to Gangtey Valley (9,842 ft.). On the way you shall come across different flora and fauna, monuments, villages and people. Stop at places for sightseeing and photography. While in Gangtey visit the Gangtey Goemba the only Nyingmapa monastery in western Bhutan, which was established in the 17th century. Then explore the Phobjikha valley, one of the most beautiful glacial valleys in the Himalayas and the winter roosting place for the endangered Black necked Cranes which migrates from the arid plains of Tibet in the north. You may choose to hike around the Valley. After visiting the valley drive back to Punakha. Overnight stay at Punakha / Wangdue.

Alternatively, instead of going to Gangtey / Phobjikha, you also have an option of spending the day in Punakha Valley itself. After breakfast hike to Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten which is about 45 Mins easy hike to the top of the hill. It offers a breath-taking view of the Punakha Valley. After that visit Punakha Suspension Bridge which is one of the longest in Bhutan. Later visit The Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery, a temple plus nunnery perched on a ridge overlooking Toebesa village, Punakha and Wangduephodrang valleys. Rest of the day free for leisure. Overnight stay in Punakha / Wangdue.

Very Important Facts for Travelers:

A valid Indian passport with minimum 06 months validity or an election Id is the only valid document for adults  ( 18 yrs & above) for travel to Kathmandu by air.
For children below the age of 18 years the school or college id suffices, but a bonafide school certificate should be carried as well to avoid immigration issues .
The id should clearly reflect the traveller’s picture, school or college name, date of birth as well as the class in which the student is studying. The New Indian notes of Inr 200 and 500 denominations are not a valid tender currency in Nepal. Or in fact any denomination above Inr 100 notes are not valid in Nepal.

Hand-phone SIM card:

Upon arrival in Kathmandu at the International Airport better known as

“Tribhuwan International Airport”. After collecting your baggage there are Two

Telephone companies known as “NCell & NTC  ( Nepal Telecommunication).

They have a Stall each. One Passport size photo and a copy of the passport will be required.

One can purchase a Sim. Activation time is 10 mins on an average. Cost is Inr 150 per Sim which

can be topped off as per requirement. It will be a 3G card.

We are not in a position to take out the Sim in advance.

After pick from Chandigarh Airport/Railway station, start your wonderful vacation to Himachal starting from Shimla. Reach Shimla and check-in into the pre-booked hotel for Overnight stay. Dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast proceed to Kufri (22 Kms from Shimla).  Kufri is all season place – winters are packed with snow adventures while the summers are brimmed with colourful meadows. Kufri also has a Himalayan Wildlife Zoo and Kufri Fun Park which will make the trip even more exciting (Entry & Activities at your own cost). After sightseeing head back to Shimla. In the city we will visit Indian Institute of Advance Study, The Mall, Johnnie’s Wax Museum, Scandal Point, Ridge, Heritage Museum, Lakkar Bazaar, Rani Jhansi Park and Christ Church. Overnight stay in Hotel.

Today morning after breakfast check-out from the hotel and proceed towards Manali. Places to cover en-route will be Vaishno Devi Temple, Hanogi Mata Temple, Pandoh Dam. Near Kullu, we will be visiting Pashmina Shawl showrooms and will try out our hands on white water River Rafting too. Reach Manali followed by check-in into the hotel. Overnight stay will be in hotel.

After fresh up enjoy Manali local sightseeing tour. Start your trip by covering Hadimba Devi Temple and Ghatotkacha Temple. The temples are dedicated to Mata Hadimba (the most worshipped deity in Himahcal) and her son Ghatotkacha. Clubhouse will be next place to visit. Here, enjoy recreational activities such as Skating, disco, zipline, TT and much more. Later bathe yourselves in Sage Vashisht’s Hot Springs containing Medical properties. Right across the Hot spring are temples of Lord shiva and Lord Ram where one can pay a visit. Overnight stay will be in reserved Hotel.

 Solang Valley (15 Kms from Manali)

Summers or winters, this place never fails to fascinate the visitors. Summers offer enchanting greenery all around whereas the winters are blessed with amazing snowfalls. While visiting Solang Valley one should also try their hands on adventure activities as it is one of best place for adventures near Manali.

ROHTANG PASS UPTO SNOW LINE

Rohtang Pass upto Snow Line (Snow Line is a barrier point placed by the government to avoid life risks during heavy Snowfall) This spot is famous for adventurous roads and having traces of snow even in heated up summers. However, with increase in global warming few months can be devoid of snow yet the panoramic views that it offers are worth watching. On the way to Rohtang Pass, places to cover will be Kothi, Gorge, Gulaba, Marhi. Note: Rohtang pass is closed on every Tuesday and during snowfall months/days. NGT (National Green Tribunal) has also limited the number of vehicles visiting Rohtang pass in a day. Thus, this sightseeing will be subject to permit obtained on the spot and extra cost (Permit + Vehicle charges).

After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Kasol on the way visit Kullu Rafting Point, Paragliding Point, Kullu Shawls Industries, Local Woolen shopping Market, Manikaran Hot spring & Gurudwara. Evening arrival at Kasol & overnight.
