28 May                   Tawang Local SightseeingAfter breakfast visit Tawang Monstery world famous seventeenth century Tawang Monastery, also known as Galden Namgyal Lhatse which overlooks the wide Tawang Valley at a height of 10,000 ft. The monastery is a vast complex of 65 buildings housing Lamas and antique scriptures written in gold letters and ancient scripture, images and has an eight meters high gilded Buddha statue. It is the largest monastery in the Himalayan region and the second oldest monastery in Asia. Five hundred lamas live in its residential buildings and it is rich in.

Later visit Urgeling Gompa, 6th Dalai Lama’s birth place who is the only Indian to have risen to such a high position in Gelupka Sect of Buddhism so far. Inside the monastery there are several Stupas (Vihar) and people from all walks of life visit this place during Buddhist new year to get the blessing for the coming year. Then proceed to the War Memorial which is dedicated to the martyrs of the 1962 Sino-Indian war. The memorial is 40-foot-high and like a stupa in design. It is locally called ‘Namgyal Chortan’. The  names of 2420 martyrs imprinted in gold on 32 black granite plagues.

29 May: Tawang Local Sightseeing – High altitude lakes and Bumla PassToday morning after early breakfast, you will drive to visit high altitude lake called as Shonga-tser Lake, popularly known as Madhuri Lake located 35, kms away from Tawang near the China Border. The drive to Sangestser Lake is full of thrill and one can still see the war bankers that had been used during the Chinese aggression in 1962. Nestled amidst the pristine mountains and picturesque surrounding, it was formed in the aftermath of the 1950 earthquake. Prior to the earthquake, this piece of land used to be employed as the grazing ground for the cattle. The evidence of it can be seen in the protruding trunks of the dead trees from the middle of the lake. The lake has been under supervision of Army men, who have also arranged for a cafeteria nearby. Tourists can relish on the delicious Momos, Maggis topped with a cup of tasty coffee or tea. Tourists can also take to trekking around the lake while enjoying the gentle lashes of the pleasant breeze around. You can drive further to Bumla Pass which is located about 37 km away from Tawang at the Indo-China border over 15,200 ft above sea level. During return take a photo stop at the beautiful PTSO lake enroute (17 kms away from Tawang, Pangong Tang Tso Lake popularly known as PT Tso which is an extremely scenic drive with bird’s eye view of the township below). 1st Day – (Sunday 18th May): – Arrive Leh

Post breakfast we drive towards Kargil road and start our sightseeing with Hall of Fame near Leh, which is worth a visit for every citizen. It is a glorious museum constructed by Indian army, Kali Mata Temple, GurudwaraPatthar Sahib Nestled deep in the Himalayas, which was built by the Lamas of Leh in 1517 to commemorate the visit of Guru Nanak Dev. 1st Day – (Sunday 18th May) : Bagdogra Airport to Kalimpong – Pickup
Approx Distance: 100 Km • Est. Travel Time: 3 hours 30 minutes
Meet and Greet on arrival at Bagdogra International Airport and transfer to Kalimpong (4,091 Ft.). On arrival, check-in to the hotel and rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Kalimpong.
2nd Day – (Monday 19th May) : Kalimpong to Gangtok – Sightseeing and Transfer
Approx Distance: 100 Km • Est. Travel Time: 8 hours
After breakfast Checkout from Hotel & enjoy a half day Kalimpong city tour and visit Mangal Dham, Deolo Hill, Golf Course, Durpin Dara Hills and Flower Nursery (Sunday closed). After that transfer to Gangtok (5,500 Ft.). On arrival check-in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
3rd Day – (Tuesday 20th May) : Gangtok to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir – Excursion
Approx Distance: 120 Km • Est. Travel Time: 8 hours
After breakfast, start for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft. / 37 Kms. / 02 Hrs. from Gangtok) and further drive to New Baba Mandir & Old Baba Mandir (13,200 ft. / 16 Kms. / 01 Hrs. from Tsomgo Lake). Evening back to Gangtok. Overnight stay at Gangtok. Note: In case of Land slide or any other reason Tsomgo Lake is closed we will provided alternate sightseeing. Due to winter season (heavy snow) vehicle will be able to drive till Snow point on the way to Tsomgo Lake and New Baba Mandir.
4th Day – (Wednesday 21st May) : Gangtok – Fullday Sightseeing
Est. Travel Time: 6 hours
After breakfast Start for a Full day city tour covering Tashi view point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre (Closed on Sunday and 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month), Institute of Tibetology (Closed on Sunday), Dro-dul Chorten, Gonjang Monastery and Bakhthang falls (maximum 6 hours). Overnight stay at Gangtok.
5th Day – (Thursday 22nd May) : Gangtok to Darjeeling – Transfer
Approx Distance: 110 Km • Est. Travel Time: 4 hours
After breakfast, transfer to Darjeeling (6,950 Ft.). On arrival check-in to hotel and rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
6th Day – (Friday 23rd May) : Darjeeling – Fullday Sightseeing with Tiger Hill
Approx Distance: 130 Km • Est. Travel Time: 8 hours
Early morning (4:00 AM) visit Tiger Hill (Subject to availability of token, if not possible at the time of Sunrise, then it will be covered in day time.) and then back to hotel. After breakfast, starting at 8.30 AM, visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Ropeway (Note: Closed on 19th of Every Month), Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed), Tea Garden (outer view), Japanese Temple(Peace Pagoda). Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Note: Darjeeling ropeway will be on direct payment basis. It has limited cabins (Approx. 8 and per cabin 4 persons can be accommodated), resulting in long queues due to high tourist volume. Be patient with potential delays. It could also impact your schedule for other sightseeing activities due to time constraints.
7th Day – (Saturday 24th May) : Darjeeling to Bagdogra Airport – Drop
Approx Distance: 70 Km • Est. Travel Time: 3 hours
After breakfast Checkout from hotel and take, the departure transfers to Bagdogra International Airport for your onward journey.
